Jester's Jargon #3

Finally a column to read I hear you gasp! Now Im not saying this is going to be neither informative nor interesting but I do hope to cover each divisions progression if any and unveil the poll results for the months of April/ May.
The column will be broken up into two, the first, this one then being an overview of each of the divisions and the second being the tallied up poll results featuring the top ten persons currently residing in Primetime Championship Wrestling as voted by you the stars/ staff/ followers.
The divisions will be looked upon from pre-Spring Fling to present day, or the announcement of Cloud Nine so to speak. So anybody working a feud within that division will come under the microscope:
Rising Star
The Rising Star Championship had long vanished into obscurity until Dorn Tracer emerged and restored its credibility. Firstly he changed the name of the strap to that of the Shooting Star Title and with this one act he cemented himself as a heel, now in terms of feuds he himself will admit that things werent mouth dropping but what he did left solid foundations for Primetime Championship Wrestlings new breed of rookie to work off. His vacating of the title opened up the idea for a tournament to be conducted and bestow a Dorn Tracer successor and up stepped the keen bunch of recently hired in Matt Jackson, James Edwards, Stone Burns and SyN.
Now I know Ive missed out some other names but for me, these four showed what the Rising Star Title stands for, those willing to work and on the role-play board nobody can argue that they havent delivered. Now a little more established the real question is whether they can transfer this work to solid feuds with good story-telling in-cards?
Tag Team
Now something I have a little experience with. Personally I thought Spring Flings Tag Team Championship match went well and Pranks With Attitudes split was perfectly timed as we were leaving the division with four strong understudies but as you know Significant Others followed our lead and disbanded, the first real blow for I believed that both Debris and Jade could easily have held tag gold. Soon enough though three was to become two after Pretty Cool Guys vanished, now putting both Entertainment Extreme (E2) and Justice Inc into a similar situation to that of Pranks With Attitude and Playaz Inc. Now the pressure is on both teams to deliver an acceptable feud, theyve shown they can work the role-play board but can they work together?
However before I jump the gun Im taking my hat off to the bookers for branching the likes of Pharaoh and Tracer together (Two thirds of the Triumvirate) and the alliance of SCOIETY and Sivasian Krikorian. I know some of these individuals have singles feuds but once theyve concluded then hopefully theyll take a month out and work the tag circuit to add some interest value.
Extreme
Primetime Championship Wrestlings universal title, open to all, so why are people so reluctant to get onboard? We havent had a real credible Champion since Skitzo in my opinion and it was he and Brianna Washington who worked its last feud unless someone can prove otherwise. In saying that I feel Manuel Labor is perfect for Champion at the moment, he has a decent work rate and has the experience to work a good feud, now its a question of people stepping up to the plate.
Cruiserweight
Finally we have a credible Champion in Miss Moonlight. The Pharaoh and King shenanigans left a bitter taste in my mouth, I respected Pharaohs decision to walk away from the division for World was looming but possibly vacating wouldve been a far better option than give King that short stint. We then had an awesome ladder match between the Champion King and Tessa Windsor-Green, for me, the timing was perfect to give it to someone with at-least a work ethic like Tessa but as you know the verdict was recoded as a draw.
The bookers then rose above these poor calls and booked a Cruiserweight battle royal with all roster members within the weight limit in attendance. It was during a prediction thread that I voiced my concern at giving the title to somebody recently hired but witnessing Miss Moonlights reign thus far I admit making a poor call, we now have a suitable Champion but like the Extreme division the competition feud wise has dried up. Miss Moonlight has proven she can hold a feud together so it would be nice to get a few more established stars onboard, El Diablo in his psycho gimmick would be ideal in my opinion.
Television
For me this Championship continues to jog along with no real badness. The last bunch of Champions have all been credible and delivered both on the role-play board and segment wise. Teresa Tomas had a good spell as did Dorn Tracer but now the company has Tessa Windsor-Green at the helm and nobody can argue that she hasnt earned it. Personally I wouldve liked the Television Title decided between Dorn Tracer and Brianna Washington but the title change came from a well-worked Main Event and the waiting is now over for Tessa Windsor-Green. The question now on the tip of everybodys tongues, How will she cope?
Shes came out from behind Chris Storms shadow but this month marks her first real feud, I personally think that Sivasian Krikorian isnt credible enough, hes been quiet of late and their relationship seems tied together through interference. There are still a few weeks to go until Cloud Nine hopefully Ive called this to premature and the feud ignites.
Continental
I still remember the six-man war over the Continental Title, a war that overshadowed the work up in the World scene but those still here have moved up and filled the void and the division is very much at the transitional stage. The feud between Violence Jack and Skylar Green was arguably one of the best of this year but now the torch has been handed across for the latter have deservedly been elevated.
Now at the helm is Gaz "The Jester" Green, making the transition from tag to singles has become quite the trend and the Continental Title seems to have grown accustomed to it. So far the Jester and Dante Jackson feud has been full-blown, re-igniting their war from the their tag division days and surprisingly it has been well-worked in my opinion but come next month names will need to be elevated. So for those gunning for future Continental status, now is the time to stake your claim, for me names like Dorn Tracer, Brianna Washington and Tessa Windsor-Green.
World
With the loss of people like Xavier Kannon then much of last years Continental division have moved on. Totally Tubular Tommy had a surprised reign, much deserved after his Continental exploits and now we have Skylar Green sitting atop of the PCW ladder. Already into a good feud with the Pharaoh the division is still much in the transitional stage and I expect to see Violence Jack making the step and hopefully a few returning names like Clyde or even Snow. Maybe division hoping from World to Continental and possibly vice versa could be beneficial but Greens reign is still in its infancy and so the World scene will take a few weeks to gain momentum but things look comfortable anyway.
Hopefully the above came as an insight into the divisions or just a quick recap, for me, more of a prologue setting up the poll results that are to follow
