Good, now on more topic things since I was standing upon the opposite spectrum of men(and yes women) inside of the confines of PCW. If any of you happened to catch Spring Fling from this year's perspective and then looked back at last years, then you would see a MAJOR improvement. In 2002, we had Boda/Miyagawa/Chris Chase as our Main money feud and it was maybe for nostalgia purposes or trying to push Chase into the World title scene since beating Kannon at Shanghai'ed, but whatever the case, it did not bode well as we saw when Chase led us to more of the "New Breed Title Swapings".
But enough about the past and the current present, let's get into the gist of things. Last Sunday, it was many events around the country going on, but I only partake into viewing one of my own, one that warrented the sight of mine. Did Spring Fling take the cake?
Yes and no.
Yes, it did put PCW still atop the Pay Per View category way above OSW and their shoddy production crew, but it didn't leave that satisfying taste in my mouth. The top of the card was stacking with Kannon/Howard, TTT/VP, and Green/VJ, and they were all MOTY candidates in them all, but the middle of the pack just left me wondering just what the hell happened? Was it all just build up towards the top three matches of the night, or was it there just to take up time constraints? Highlight go out to Dorn Tracer as he made the Rising Star title bigger than the CW, Extreme and Tag titles COMBINED. He has done one real soild job with those belts and its now time for him to move on.
Lowlight of the night is going to go towards Gaz Green and Nerezza, the five time, five time, five time, five time, five time PCW Tag Team Champions of the World. For a moment, it didn't seem like the guys even had a feud with the Schoompies, just a set up for the epic 5th reign tying Da Westsidaz and The Blood Brothers. But was it needed? I've seen this guys work, and its good, very good. The point I'm trying to make is that they've tried everything to be pushed as a singles unit by themselves, but they know that the fans and smarks are not going to love the fact of Gaz Green not being with Nerezza and vice versa. Yes, I know they've carried the Tag divsion ever since Dante Jackson went solo and Playaz Inc. disbanded, but that's all they're here for. The Tag division. What I'm saying is, give these boys a run away from each other, see what it gives them instead of blocking my television with missing matches, defaults, and women winning the Extreme title.
Spring Fling Has Come And Gone, What's Next?
As witht he end of every Pay Per View, the guys writing have come up with a special Wednesday Turmoil, just to get the guys well rested before embarking upon another journey towards another Pay Per View, May's Supremacy.
Now, if I'll be a little open for comment on the whole Clyde/Darkstar angle at Spring Fling, the match kicked ass, the build up kicked ass, but the out of the blueness of it made me kinda quiver for a second in thinking why is Clyde our Television champion? Atleast he can't goof up, he's title GOLD.
Or if you did happen to catch Aymin/Diablo 2, you'd realize that Diablo is Enigma, meaning the whole Enigma mask thing (which went unnoticed by my watch) was worthless when they could have thought of something better. Wait, they've used everything, including testical seperation. Shit, I'm out of ideas for that feud, its nostalgia and reached its peak. I hope Spring Fling killed it off.
Before the match, better yet before the entire first string of matches went on, we saw Dante Jackson go through his taping of the fist, trying to get ready for his Flatlined Fighting, oops, I mean Mixed Martial Arts match with El Romantico, when all of a sudden, he runs into Violence Jack in his lockeroom. Jackson gets up, the two talk shit towards another as Jackson seems to have the upper hand. I think this may be the feud that breaks Jackson in for the good of the upper card. Having the guy whom you lost the CT title to for a feud partner while he still has the title is a good way to go for it. That's instant heat right there, and by their little skirmish from the get go, you wouldn't mind seeing them put up a performance in Iraq.
And on that note, I must wonder why we are even going to Iraq for a Pay Per View. If Hans Glitz and Mr. Ed get into a squabble on World Affairs, then get the Iraqi Information Minister and that would be a topic for a lifetime.
Meanwhile there are some things that still deserve merit into talking about. But instead of just giving them actual rants, I'm going to grade them. The newbies that just came in, they get no grade since they aren't even under my watch.

Avalanche~! Hit Of The Week: And this part goes out towards a person I think would admire it because he somewhat deserves it. Tim Walden.
Now, in Mr. Ed's reviews of the roster before the hirings after Spring Fling, it was rather said that Tim Walden had a chance of being a CT champion if he worked hard and put up a few promos, but sadly, it wouldn't work not a one word that Walden speaks. Since coming to PCW back into 2001, Walden has had fluke wins, rather even handed titles by Jeremy Howard to focus upon the World title and Alliances. Since them, Walden has gone through the Wild Deuces, even having an actual gimmick with SNAPPAGE~! and two titles. His feud with The H.I.T was supposed to be soild, almost rivaling the H.I.T's work with Sam Potright (the epitome of all heated feuds), but failed miserably. It dumbed down the thought of the Trick Or Treat Match, and even drove the H.I.T into retirement. All of this, from working with Walden.
If you look up hardest worker, Tim has averaged putting up a promo or two a week or two, maybe even three if he's fearing for his job. But if you'd look at his in-card work, its completely non existent. There's nothing from Tim Walden ever since the feud with that woman turned commentator. So, it was no suprise to me when he dropped the title to Darkstar, WITHOUT WORKING I may add. People get on Darkstar for not rping a few times, when he puts up solid numbers whenever the hell he has time to work. Its good, but Walden? He's active, he's here and verbally active in the backstage chats, but when you get to work - nada.
I mean, he needs a gimmick change, a work ethic and try and find someway from him not looking like a joke. Its no fact that Tomas carried him to that 2/3 falls match back at March Madness, there's no denying it. But I've heard of a mysogonist gimmick in the works, which maybe the only saving of his career now. Look at Steven Richards, he pals with a hot psycho and wears pink shorts - when back in ECW he was loved and work jeans with a torn T-shirt, go figure.
So Mr. Walden, now that Brandi's gone, what are you going to do?
Think.
And this, has been another Ranting moment.
