Jester's Jargon #2

With March Madness said and done and the transition of people over the divisions taking place there is a great deal to absorb and reflect on. Probably the biggest development is that Primetime Championship Wrestling has taken onboard their third owner since Third Dawning in Hall Of Fame elected Jeremy Howard. As mentioned earlier, the company is shuffling and spreading its talent equally over the various title scenes, so those who havent mapped out their run up to Spring Fling or have a feud in development could find themselves being used as stepping-stones for other peoples careers.
Unfortunately the above is harsh but very true >=)
So with Spring Fling looming and new entrants adorning other divisions, ones most likely they havent associated in before the company has spread its wealth well so maybe we should view those very same divisions.
Extreme
In my opinion the companies Open House division where it covers the full spectrum of talent, right from accommodating those new to those associated with the World. So far we have had a credible Champion in Skitzo who continues to entertain on air and will most likely retain all the way to the Pay-Per-View, where the prospect of facing Brianna Washington lies in wait. Even though at present the Extreme looks to be a tug-o-war between the Mental One and the gadget wielding Washington, expect people to use this division as a make shift, names like Nerezza and Chris Storm.
Shooting Star
The inclusion of Dorn Tracer as really benefited this division and we now have an equally credible Champion at the helm, such a Champion has been sadly missed since the AWOL shenanigans of Anarchy. Technically the former Asylum member never lost the title so a return could really set up a classic feud but until that happens I expect Dorn to steam train over the division with his impressive work rate and in ring presence. I see the next step being possible feuds with either of A J Trinidad or Tessa Windsor, dropping the title being merely a transition for the current Champion.
Cruiserweight
So many names and so much talent, the Cruiserweight Championship will be sort after pre and post Spring Fling. A title that has been decorated with former World Champions this could be the transitional title for those heading towards the Continental but no easy task with the names currently within the division. The weight limit means a huge majority of the roster have the credentials but I predict runs from the more keener – Rent-A-Hero, Tessa Windsor, El Romantico, Pharaoh, El Diablo and Gaz The Jester Green.
Television
Teresa Tomas really put the Television Championship in the limelight and so Tim Walden has no easy task in keeping it there but if he could work a programme, say with El Romantico in the same format as he did with The H.I.T then this could quite easily be as impressive as the Cruiserweight. Im going out on a limb but again this is another Open House division where people may wish to use as a stepping-stone since Tomas really laid the foundations
Tag Team
A division that has been dead of late with no real stability in its Champions but I now think that fad has since past with Chris Storm and Tessa Windsors second reign. Currently feuding with Pranks With Attitude the television time has been there and the distinction of faces and heels as been made clear, setting up a climatic finish but either team has quite the task ahead of themselves with Significant Others pulling out all the stops for the number one contenders booth.
However three teams arent enough when you take into account what OSE is producing so possibly the inclusion of a Tag Team event for Free Agents and those newly formed could be an option. Possibly something angled to that effect (Id gladly help in such a venture)
Maybe this could be reviewed after Spring Fling?
Continental
In my opinion the hottest division within Primetime Championship Wrestling, one that oozes talent. Totally Tubular Tommy showed that it is possible to make the transition from tag to singles with his record-breaking performance at the helm and Dante Jackson soon followed suit. Everyone associated with this division has potential to make the next step but Im expecting that after the initial transition those still competing at this level will each get a reign up to the point where the World scene will need revitalising. Possibly the next pushes being Pendragon, Violence Jack and Skylar Green, meaning those beneath in the Television and Cruiserweight will then get their opportunity within the Continental?
World
With the loss of Duke Williams and the disappearance of Snow, expect the likes of Tommy and those mentioned above regular features in the World scene alongside your corner stones in Xavier Kannon and Clyde. However the likelihood is that Xavier Kannon will be to involved with his next feud and Clyde may pursue other avenues so the World division may look incredibly different from that of last year. With his awesome showing at March Madness I also expect Akiyama to once again pull out all the stops in a heel Championship reign as the World scene looks to have a big shake-up.
Hope the above doesnt come across as possible spoilers, but merely guidelines for each division after taking into account the aftermath of March Madness.
With Spring Fling shaping up to be this years BIG event everyone will hopefully pull out all the stops to make it live up to its hype, thus helping the company to remain number one in Wrestle Online >=)
